Sylvania Township Trustee John Crandall recently announced his intention to resign from the Board of Township Trustees to be effective mid-summer. Crandall, in his third term, plans to leave the board in July.

At the direction of the Trustees, Sylvania Township Administrator Oliver Turner has established a timeline and protocol for appointing a trustee to fulfill Crandall’s term. This was approved by the trustees at the April 16 meeting.

Qualified candidates may find applications at sylvaniatownship.com/board and send the completed form by June 24 to Sylvania Township Administrator Oliver Turner, Sylvania Township Hall, 4927 N. Holland-Sylvania Rd.

Applicants will be announced at the July 2 Board of Trustees’ meeting with potential interviews scheduled July 8 through July 12.

The appointed trustee could be announced as soon as the July 16 meeting of the Board of Township Trustees.
